Recorded in a bedroom in Fishtown, the five-song Demo of 2012 meditates on themes of alien invasion, global catastrophe, and technology and deftly merges flourishes of exotica with dissonant primitivism. Mirth Control, the manic depressive follow-up of 2014, takes the song-writing and instrumentation further, supplementing the earlier spare arrangements with triumphant horns and thundering drums. The six-song EP aims its polemic ire and its mordant humor right at the site where our longing for salvation and our longing for cataclysm meet. .
