E. C. Omega grew up in Pennsylvania. As a child, E. C. often fantasized about being a singer and the popularity that can come from it. The only problem is that he can't sing. As time went on, he focused more on the visual arts. He honed his skills, and became pretty well known for his talents. As they developed, inspired by cartoons and comic books, he decided to pursue the study of animation.
During his pursuit, he learned aspects of video editing. He had often wished he could have his own original sounds to go with it. E. C. had also been skilled in writing. In love with lyrics from many different artists, he admired their poetic enchantment and cunning way of wordsmithing that would make him ponder the deeper side of spirituality. This played a major role in his own writing, as he developed his lyrical talents. Inspired by other rappers, he felt it was time to speak for himself. So, he decided to get involved in audio production, after moving to North Carolina, and from there he experimented with many genres, as his new abilities grew.
He produced his first work entitled ‘Digital Self Production’ (as Oni One Shinobi). It was a mix of hip hop, d&b, house, and trance. That style didn't mesh too well, and he knew he wasn't living up to his full potential. After teaming up with his brother, the focus was solely on hip hop, but it just wasn't enough for him. He produced his second album, which was mostly hip hop based with some techno influence. Extremely disappointed with how that turned out, he decided to stick with just a techno based sound and drop the hip hop. He still produced beats for his brother, and by this point, other local artists, too. He was featured on theirs and his brother's tracks, but it wasn't his major focus. Not to mention these other local artists were into the more popular radio rap, and that was unfulfilling to produce and a difficult transition to make.
His next project was a soundtrack for a graphic novel (still in the making). From that, he produced a third album 'Re-Tek' (which was his second release), consisting of leftovers from the soundtrack. But, through all this, he still felt the desire to produce hip hop for himself. At that point, he decided to split into two. From that split, E. C. Omega was born. He would still maintain the artist name, Oni One Shinobi, producing the electronic sound for himself, and beats for his brother and others, but as far as rap was concerned, he was now E. C. Omega.
Inspired by a dream he had of an out of body experience, 'Spiritual Dreaming' went into effect, but he knew he had to produce that raw gritty hip hop sound if he wanted to gain any respect. He had to turn to the producers that kept it real, and mimic a sound similar to theirs. In that process, E. C. Omega's sound was forged. He knew that's what he had been waiting for, and his search had come to an end (hence...E. C. Omega). But from there, his journey had just begun. Still producing tracks for his brother, this new sound added the E. C. Omega flavor to his brother's stuff that made it that much better.
In the end, he's found a comfortable seat between the two identities, confident E. C. Omega by day, moonlighting as stealthy Oni One Shinobi by night. All that's left is the continuous journey onward, where he awaits to discover the mysteries that lie ahead.
