Gudon (愚鈍), even amidst a crop of other extremely noisy Japanese hardcore punk bands of the 1980s, probably ranked in its heyday among the noisiest, possibly only rivaled by Disclose and Ferocious X. Not much is known about Gudon. They released the Zanin Seiji 7" in 1985 which was a very classic epitome of the style and era going on at the time. Gudon used splintered, blistering blasts of guitar and bass noise mized with clobbering drums and gruff vocals a la Gauze.

Not much is known about Gudon. They released the Zanin Seiji 7" in 1985 which was a very classic epitome of the style and era going on at the time. Gudon used splintered, blistering blasts of guitar and bass noise mized with clobbering drums and gruff vocals a la Gauze. Gudon lasted into the early '90s and did a split with Warhead Junk, but by this time their sound pregressed to a more traditionally American hardcore punk sound complete with cleaner yet still raw production, tighter drumming and even 'gang chants' though vocals were still often tortured sounding.
