Mikoto was a post-hardcore band from Orange County/Santa Ana, California, United States. They formed in 2004 and their last release was in 2010.
With a desire to create music that was both fun and inspiring, Mikoto was begun. In 2004 they released their EP The End Of The Beginning, toured a lot, then coming out with their self-titled 5 song EP in 2005 on Level Plane Records, that was the start of Mikoto's adventure. Relentless touring alongside Horse The Band, Misery Signals, Saosin and Chiodos to name a few.

In 2004 they released their EP The End Of The Beginning, toured a lot, then coming out with their self-titled 5 song EP in 2005 on Level Plane Records, that was the start of Mikoto's adventure. Relentless touring alongside Horse The Band, Misery Signals, Saosin and Chiodos to name a few. In 2008 Mikoto released their full-length called We Are The Architects on Torque Records, they recorded it at Infrasonic Studios in Los Angeles, California with producer and Saosin-guitarist Beau Burchell. The sound on the album is passionate, heavy, creative with hard hitting vocals and a lot of melody. In 2010 they released another EP called Transitions on Falling Leaves Records.
