The ‘Outclass story’.
Five years ago two friends got talking about recording some songs together, and slowly but surely this conversation developed into reality. The music was born in the tower blocks of Sofia in Bulgaria at the fingers of ‘Milenko’ and his Epiphone Les Paul guitar. He spent his spare hours in his apartment writing music and getting it down onto his 4-track studio.
These demo’s then made their way across Europe, through the tough and dead end back streets of England, and finally into the stereo of ‘The Captain’. Slowly the lyrics took shape to four of the songs and the music was arranged. The dream was alive and a new style of street rock was born. The music was guitar influenced and the vocals were filled with attitude, a combination that was sure to appeal to a wide variety of people.
After exchanging ideas and rough vocal and guitar demo’s, the boys got together for a couple of days in 2006. The studio was based in Sofia in Bulgaria and with the help of ‘Ognian’ playing drums, and ‘Mario’ on bass and the four songs were professionally recorded and later mastered.
1. Unavoidable
2. Raise Your Fist
3. The Angel Of My Dreams
4. Outclass Anthems
The songs were sitting around for a while due to busy lives and other commitments but were eventually sent out to some record labels. A deal was offered by the Italian label 'Barracuda Records' and were released as a mini CD in 2008. The overall response to this material was great and the boys have since been exchanging new ideas and writing new tracks for a full length CD.
This is not the last you've heard of this band, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for some more of this street rock music.
Outclass - May 2009.
