Jack Rabid described them in his review in The Big Takeover as "abrasive, fast, and whooshing with classic indie rock urgency...catchy like Superchunk, tense like Mission of Burma, spunky like Pitchblende, and chunky like Unrest." He went on to say "Castro's bassline serves as an unfettered lead instrument. Calhoon's drumming is precise and rigid, and Levin's guitar is ponderous, atonal, ringing, and busy like early-Wedding Present or Rites of Spring. Rather excellent."
Currently, the band is putting the finishing touches on their sophomore outing "Pretendo II" recorded and mixed by Martin Bisi, featuring cover art by Ron English, and due out in early 2008.
