A benefit concert scheduled at Liberty Hall, August 30th at 8 pm is without a solid confirmation of a band...change of plans caused previous volunteers to have to change their plans unexpectedly!. We're in need of anyone who would like to drag out their sound equip and lend some time to a worthy benefit for Luke Dorf and Liberty Hall.. Please contact me right away if you're interested in volunteering some time and energy to this fund raiser! - Lollyrae [pc-pdx update] Tiger House + Westfold are playing along with Rob Taxpayer doing an acoustic set. a few more bands are still needed!. A benefit event for the Luke Dorf healing community and Liberty Hall.

Dear friends,In Other Words, like so many of our fellow bookstores, has fallen upon incredibly hard financial times.. With the decline in our current economy, we have experienced severely decreased revenue.. If we are unable to raise $11,000 by the end of December, In Other Words will have to close its doors.We desperately need your help.. Tessa suggested I try to find a show.. The Damage Done were kind enough to let us open last minute.. The GRNSTR House was small and pretty well packed before things got started.

PDX Pop Now!'s recent sold-out "Make It Pop!" fundraiser saw performances by James Mercer of the Shins, Brandon Summers of the Helio Sequence, Marty Marquis of Blitzen Trapper, Ryan Sollee of The Builders & The Butchers, Loch Lomond and live video DJing by Dantronix and raised $4,000 for PDX Pop Now!. We generated $100 and bought three military intermediate grade bags rated to 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit at a discount from Andy & Bax and donated them to the "Red Door" at the Down Town Chapel.. Everyone thought the fund raiser went well so we decided to do it again.. In December we had another fund raiser and generated $200 and bought and donated six of the same sleeping bags.
