Sweet
Sweet (referred to as The Sweet on albums before 1974 and singles before 1975) were a popular 1970s british band. Although Sweet were largely known for their glam rock image, and several hit singles — many of them being so-called teenage anthems — they also released several albums throughout a ten year career. The extent of Sweet's domination of the charts in Europe resulted in eight number one singles in Germany, with pop oriented tunes as "Co Co", "Little Willy", and "Wig Wam Bam".     The So So Glos Postpone Portland for Prague and Poland

    One of our favorite bands, The So So Glos, have scored a sweet European tour with ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.. Sweet deal for them, though that means Portland will have to wait a few more months before the return of these crowd favorites.These guys are pc-pdx crew favorites and are just flatt out hott shit!. Since their first trip to Portland back in November of 2007, these five guys have consistently impressed with their killer shows.. If you've never experienced the magic, do yourself a favor and check them out.

    Jesse Michaels, Mike Park, Dateless, The Damage Done, Destroy Nate AllenMarch 17th @ GRNSTR House in SeattleWe found out a few days before this amazing show that we had some family from Bolivia flying through Seattle.. Tessa suggested I try to find a show.. The Damage Done were kind enough to let us open last minute.. The GRNSTR House was small and pretty well packed before things got started.

    PDX Pop Now! CD Release Show and Track Listings Announced

    PDX Pop Now! -- Portland's premier DIY music festival, compilation and music advocacy organization - has announced the track listing for this year's compilation and plans for the CD Release Benefit Show.. PDX Pop Now!'s recent sold-out "Make It Pop!" fundraiser saw performances by James Mercer of the Shins, Brandon Summers of the Helio Sequence, Marty Marquis of Blitzen Trapper, Ryan Sollee of The Builders & The Butchers, Loch Lomond and live video DJing by Dantronix and raised $4,000 for PDX Pop Now!. Tyler Kohlhoff has some pictures from the event here and you can download a yousendit file of Jason Quigley shots of the event here..     hi all,It's been a long time coming... almost an embarrassingly long time.I started talking about it around this time last year.. The earliest date that i can recall where i said we'd launch was to be New Years day, some of you may been able to nail it on a earlier date than that.ALL said and done, here in internet ink,THE NEW VERSION OF THE SHOW-GUIDE WILL LAUNCH OVER THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND!It's looking pretty great, i'm not going to lie - we're very excited to get the new version published and have you guys use it!WHAT'S NEW:Maps and Membership and more!SPEED:The current version in the past few weeks/months has often been slow, sometimes just gone non-responsive (ouch!). The site has been almost completely recoded - it's all 99% fresh to be able to handle to ~15 page views the site is averaging EVERY SECOND.Membership Features!If you happened to have signed up for the current implementation of Membership on pc-pdx, i'm sure you're deeply disappointed..     FU: The best ALL AGES venue in portland - it's new, it's the Factory Underground

    Let's start with the bad : they're north.. Wicked North.Everything else at the Factory Underground is pandas and puppies and fireworks and punk rock rainbows - this place is awesome.. Bands, coffee, cute girls running an art gallery that doesn't suck (really -it doesn't suck!), a half-pipe(?!),I grew up in small towns(s) midwest and if we weren't getting kicked out of wall-mart (the intercom is [*]+[0]+[3] by-the-way), we were sitting at Denny's, chain smoking, drinking coffee and talking about opening up the coolest place in the universe...some sort of punk rock coffee shop with half-pipes and all of our favorite bands.. It's pretty crazy just how closely the Factory Underground resembles everything i ever wanted out of being a trapped in teenager in the boring ass madwest.

    possible server interruptions + site outages in next few days

    we found a new vps host with whom we were able to score a sweet deal and get a bitchin' hardware upgrade that essentially doubles our config stats for HALF THE MOTHERFUCKING PRICE. ...i wrote a bunch more here but i'll refrain from actually publishing my angry rant on thought that the current vps host sees this and decides AGAIN to shut off our service. -i'm sure it was entirely accidental though... just like how the site has gone down several times a week for the last ..LONG TIME NOW. anyway, everybody that is not still reading this - brace for some slow spots and a possible few hours of outage whilst we switch over.THANKS AND BIG LOVE TO YOU!
