Tough Tough Skin

Self-described "queer punky nerdcore" band hailing from Minneapolis, MN, Tough Tough Skin is "super gay". Self-described "queer punky nerdcore" band hailing from Minneapolis, MN, Tough Tough Skin is "super gay". What began as a project involving current members River Gordon and Radford Bishop, and a rotation of other members, eventually gave birth to Tough Tough Skin as we've recently known it, with the addition of drummer Zach McNulty and Chris Hibberd. They got signed by Queer Control Records in the summer of 2007, and produced (with great help from and thanks to Mike Wisti at Albatross) their first full-length album in the early months of 2008 titled Let it Sink Down. In fall of 2008, however, McNulty left the band for wetter surroundings. This recent line-up change has proven to send the band into the next stage of it's life. Though no one enjoyed seeing McNulty go (but baby, we love to watch him leave ;) ) the band is showing great promise as a trio. Pulling Bishop back to the kit has given Gordon and Hibberd more room to play; both in the music, and literally on stage. This has opened new doors of sound for the boys, and seems to be a challenge that has been eagerly accepted. Read more on Last.fm.
