Okay, everybody that has posted: thanks for the feedback - keep it coming! I just fixed a major issue that was breaking the autocomplete on the search(check-it). -This fix may also solve any issues you might have had with show editing, voting, membership... If you're still having issues, please let me know: What part is breaking and what browser are you using? -that'll help me solve any issues you may come across. Chesty and everybody else: don't be shy with your suggestions and commentary. This site started real terrible and only got better as people made suggestions and requests. There's a contact box if you would like to keep it private. Thanks again!

This new version is AWESOME!! Here are some bugs I've spotted and recommendations: 1. As mentioned above, when you hover on a flyer, a lightbox comes up. When the lightbox closes the thumbnail of the flyer disappears. 2. The flyer shown on the lightbox is a blown out thumbnail in very bad quality and unreadable. Can you make the bigger flyer (as the one on the show details page) pop up instead? 3. On the Headlines and on the blog page, the number of comments is wrong. This post for example has 4 comments but on Headlines/blog it says 0. 4. I love the genre tags but without them being active (click on one and get a list of shows of the same genre) it's not very helpful to discover shows. 5. On the "Show Map" tab, on the map, when you click on a venue, besides the address you can add a link to the venues pc-pdx page, where the shows are listed. Tested with FF 3.6 and Chrome 5 on Win Vista.

    6. Add paragraph brakes or HTML tags so that comments don't appear as a huge paragraph.

DIM == awesome. That's perfect way to report and so very helpful! I also see that by clicking "...read the full comment" takes you straight to fail. grrr. A big cause of these issues was that we were going to change the url to something else but a bunch of people said "NOOO!!!", so we kept pc-pdx and broke some links in the process. So sorry for the headaches, thanks for the patientce. Many fixes coming this weekend.

  8. dim

@PC-PDX: I was about to write about the "...read the full comment" thing. The link is also broken if you try it on the member's page, where the listing of all his/her posts are. Not a necessity but it usually is convenient: nested comments so people can reply to specific comments.

@DIM : thanks for the help and time! Come hang out at the rad Duckets show on Saturday night and i'll buy you some drinks!

  10. dainger

I get a reference error everytime I navigate to a new page. I click okay and continue on.

  11. dainger

...it says _gat is not defined!

  12. pc-pdx

grrr, that's something from Google. What browser are you using and is it still happening? - i just made a tweak.

  13. dainger

okay, yeah it stopped doing it. I'm using Firefox.

  14. timmo

It seems like perhaps the center column could be a bit wider? For example, the video at http://pc-pdx.com/blog/166 is slightly cut off. Thanks for the awesome site anyway!

Just noticed: -When the bottom "info bar" thing is hidden on the right side of the screen the arrow is missing (but you can still click there to show it). When hidden on the left it is fine. -The "Socialize" links all seem to be broken besides the Myspace one.

    Now Fixed:
Flyers don't disappear anymore: popup and load the full size image.
"Edit This Bio" links are fixed
    Headlines comment count now updates
Show Map: Venue Bubble now links to venue page.
Comments updated to respect line breaks
"...read the full comment" actually links to comment instead of fail.
    Shoutbox no longer truncates shout
    _gat reference error fixed.

More updates coming over the weekend, all over jays face.

  17. pc-pdx

a bunch of the bugs have been worked out - keep posting if you find them.
We'll be posting all the shows today and tomorrow - they're kind of low with all the development activity in the last week - sorry. The calendar is a wiki see if you see stuff that we don't have listed - help us/everybody out by posting the shows, thanks!

Casey just made me aware of the fact that the calendar behaves funny if you're trying to look at shows for another month, you can select the dates and view the show fine, but the calendar itself comes back to display the current month.
-I will have this fixed today.
Also, i know i just said the calendar is funny at the moment, but use the calendar to view shows by date - don't search for "August 8" -it won't work.

  23. VERY NICE!

@Nick: Clickable Tags coming in the next few days!

There has been a lot of difficulty in getting a feature like that set-up. It takes a lot of time and thought to make this thing work in a way that is easy to figure out.
Read the latest blog (FAQ/WTF?!) post to figure out what's up with Tags and Band Bios. Anyway: Clickable Tags coming soon!

    Tags are now clickable!
Browse away and tell me what you think. The only way we can make the site better is if you guys share your opinions and suggestions so keep 'em coming!

  27. pc-pdx

Avatars have been hooked up for membership profiles -> you will now be able to see them in all the Comments.

  28. dud the old one was way better. this one looks too much like myspace

  29. pc-pdx

    hmmm...i guess?
I thought it was more of a throwback and slick up of the 2nd version of the Show-Guide. Say the 2008 era, check it out in the Wayback Machine.

We're always open to suggestion - serious.
We've built several feature requests / updates just in the last week for people who have wrote in and proposed a change or whatever.. Just speak up.

Your comments matter - this site doesn't get any better unless you guys tell us how to make it better.

    The email address is ADD@PC-PDX.COM
