Useless State Records is in the process of collecting tracks from Portland DIY bands to issue the first ever Portland Show Guide Mixtape. The Show Guide is an integral part of our burgeoning do-it-together musical community, one that has helped us as musicians an infinite amount since its inception. It is one of the few websites across the country that displays and promotes house shows as well as venues, and is unique because the community can post their own shows, blogs, and messages.
All proceeds from this tape will go to support the increasingly expensive-to-run Portland Show Guide. This mixtape will not only encapsulate this blip of time here in Portland, it will help us be a cohesive community that helps promote one another.
