We're finishing up the year with a count the jellybeans stylee` contest. The Winner gets STUFF!

So here's the game:


We've been doing this Show-Guide for almost three years now. Each passing year it keeps getting bigger and better (wait for the 2010 version!). Your job is to guess three things:
  1. How many shows were posted for 2009?
  2. How Many flyers were posted for those 2009 shows?
  3. How many different visitors checked out the Show-Guide in 2009?


(this will blow up the shoutbox, but whatever..)Post in the comments below your guess to these three questions. The answers will be tallied up and given a percentage against the final number.


Contest ends at 11:59p on Sunday, January the 3rd 2010!
The winner will be announced soon after. You can pick up the prize at Backspace downtown or we can mail it to you - but that will cost you the box of cereal.

  2. If by "show" you mean movie, yeah, I saw the 1984 holiday classic Silent Night, Deadly Night at the Hollywood Theater last evening! It kicked butt! Some scenes are still a little over the top, but some are unintentionally freaking hilarious--i.e. they don't age well. As for bands, I could give two shits about hipster bands like Silversun Pickups--or for that matter, the tuneage you're giving away for this contest. Classic hardcore/metal is where I'm at, when not listening to Nat or Eartha.

    @Rob: word! I don't know what the Silversun Pickups comment is in regard to, but i'll put them in the fuckoff category too. I know that not everybody would be into the great music prizes that were gifted from USR - that's why we threw in the ARMY OF DARKNESS DVD to the pile - and what about the cereal? THE CEREAL!!

    Maybe this contest is borked.
    If 5 more people don't comment this before 5p today, we'll scrap it and start something new. Think of some ideas if it comes to that... which it's looking to be true.
