Slabtown Portland is proud to announce its first annual Slabtown Grrrl Front fest, a 4-day all-ages festival for artistic girls and women.
Bands! Comedians! Art Show! Zine Workshop! Clothing Swap! Video Game Demo! Roller Derby Sign-ups! Fundraisers!
Slabtown Grrrl Front is intended to highlight women and creativity in a fun atmosphere while politicizing different groups that represent and support women and community. Fundraisers such as a clothing swap to raise money for Reading Frenzy’s re-launch and an art auction for Planned Parenthood. A percentage of tickets sales will be donated In Other Words feminist center, Fat Fancy, and Bitch Media. There will be a fanzine workshop with Portland Button Works and an interactive demo with The Fullbright Company who will be showcasing their Riot Grrrl-inspired adventure game, Gone Home. Twenty-five bands, 8 comedians, 4 days, all ages, all for women, all at Slabtown!
Tickets are $7 after 7pm each night, or you can purchase a commemorative silicon bracelet for $20 that gets you in all weekend (that's $8 OFF)!
