VOTE! Slider Thingy at bottom of page : stay or go?

I'd prefer it off by default.

I like how it brings up band info when you hover over a bands name. I don't really think it's in the way. Although yeah it would be cool if there was a way to close or minimize it.

I'm a bit surprised. I thought this was a going to be a barrage of 'i hate that shit!'. I actually find it to be quite annoying and keep it off (member preferences).
You can slide it out of the way whilst not logged-in, but it will slide in whenever you hover on something.
Apparently we should keep it in some form or another - any suggestions to improve?

this is hard...I like it sometimes when I hover over a band but you still have to click read more so I feel like there's no point. Cause I can't read the whole thing. And idk I guess its sort of annoying like a bug that is stuck on you..

I like it cos it's an easy way to get more info on a band that you're interested in. It's also mostly out of way so I don't feel it interferes with the rest of the page.

We left it in place - but added an intent mechanism so that you have to hover on a link for a full second before the slider will trigger.
This means that you can slide it out of the way and browse without fear that you'll accidentally cause it to fire again.
Members can always turn it off completely in their preferences.

Does that work better for everybody now? You guys should hopefully find the slider less annoying. Any and all suggestions for anything on or not-yet on the site are fully appreciated. Keep 'em coming.
