One of our favorite bands, The So So Glos, have scored a sweet European tour with ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. Sweet deal for them, though that means Portland will have to wait a few more months before the return of these crowd favorites.
These guys are pc-pdx crew favorites and are just flatt out hott shit! Since their first trip to Portland back in November of 2007, these five guys have consistently impressed with their killer shows. If you've never experienced the magic, do yourself a favor and check them out. This band is like a mx of all the best of The Clash and The Buzzcocks combined...only better!
Before scoring the sweet European tour, the SSG's we're scheduled to play two PDX shows on this bout. One closing out Backspace for PDX Music In The Schools : Battle Of The Bands and headlining The Coop after hours Pajama Party.
The SSG's got the call to backup the European tour Thursday morning and are leaving on Tuesday. Only a few days warning leads these guys on their first international tour, abandoning months of planning for a US tour. Matt promises that they 'are sorry they're going to miss it' (yeah right!) but 'will be back to Portland soon'. Even tough we have to wait a few months to see one of our absolute favorite bands ever - we wish them luck and a blast.
