Joey Gorman-gtr/vox, Alex Zobel-lead gtr/vox, Jake Paleschic-bass/vox, with Kris Luther on drums/vox. Luther, Gorman, & Paleschic all grew up within the north Texas area. Zobel grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and found himself in Texas chasing the American dream. Gorman & Paleschic did not begin writing music together until they were formally introduced to eachother when moving into the same household/commune of sorts in Nashville, TN in 2010. Back in Ft. Worth, Zobel & Luther had already started the band “The Hanna Barbarians” where Luther actually plays lead guitar. After Gorman and Paleschic moved back home from Tennessee and after various writing/jam sessions in late 2011/early 2012, the combination/chemistry was undeniable/inevitable… result: Longshots. The sound is directly influenced by the founders of what is instinctively known as "Rock n' Roll"...everyone from Chuck Berry, Little Richard to Johnny Thunders and The Flamin' Groovies. Mixing this American counter culture roots music with the current wave of Black Lips/Strange Boys/FIDLAR infused Garage/proto-punk...the boys have come to labeling their energetic, instantly gratifying sound as "Junk Rock". (as in “junk food”…not strictly junkie music)
2) The Longshots is a 6-piece ska band from Eugene, OR who want nothing more than to make heads nod and butts shake. Coming together in 2008, the line-up has seen a few changes over the years but still strives to bring a party atmosphere influenced by funk, R&B, jazz, and punk rock, all while rooted in a sound that encompasses the many styles of reggae, rock steady, 2 tone, dub, and 3rd wave.
Members: Shane Connor, Eric Johnson, Tom Wade, Blake Hoshibata, Justin Canfield, Ben Hampton
Frequent guests: Ben Ciazza, Sam Hunt, Jason Oppat
3) The Longshots Leeds, UK - SY PINKEYE - This baby-faced guitar wielding whirlwind is the frontman, guitarist, lead vocalist and mastermind behind The Longshots. 5' 8'' of adrenaline overdosed attitude that could easily be the bastard child of any 70's Punk Icon. Energetic, enthralling and fueled on alcohol alone, he not so much plays his guitar but wrestles it into submission while furiously spinning, spitting, gurning and grinning his way through each and every show.
DEANY DEAN - They say that he was cloned in a laboratory using advanced gene-splicing techniques. That scientists tried to create the perfect percussionist. Half drummer, half genius, a miracle of genetics that would be made possible using D.N.A from Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawkins and Animal from the Muppets. Although the experiment failed something else was created. An Abomination, A Jekyll and Hyde, a Rock & Roll Frankenstein that by day works in a top secret lab, but by night plays the drums, drinks and drools.
NIJ - Easily mistaken for the missing link between man and ape, this Neanderthal is bassist and personal security for The Longshots. With an estimated I.Q of 40 his sub-normal intelligence makes him an ideal candidate for the job. So far Nij has proved to be almost unstoppable, after being stabbed, burned, beaten, run over and the cause of many traffic accidents, somehow this evolutionary throwback manages to keep on going. His pastimes aside from playing bass are knuckle dragging and clubbing, literally.
Summer 2002 in the sleepy town of Leeds, West Yorkshire. The Longshots formed and made a pact to inseminate peoples ears with their unique brand of Punk Injected Rock'n'Roll.
