Aaron Charles Carter (December 7, 1987 – November 5, 2022) was an American singer and rapper who gained popularity as a teen pop artist in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He released four studio albums during the early phase of his career, becoming well known among preteen and teenage audiences.
Carter began performing at the age of seven, following the formation of his brother Nick Carter's group, the Backstreet Boys. He released his self-titled debut album in 1997 at age nine, which sold approximately one million copies worldwide.

Carter began performing at the age of seven, following the formation of his brother Nick Carter's group, the Backstreet Boys. He released his self-titled debut album in 1997 at age nine, which sold approximately one million copies worldwide. His second album, "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)", was released in 2000 and sold three million copies in the United States. Following its release, Carter made guest appearances on Nickelodeon and toured with the Backstreet Boys. His third album, "Oh Aaron", also achieved platinum status. In 2002, he released his fourth studio album, "Another Earthquake!", and in 2003, a compilation titled "Most Requested Hits".
In addition to his music career, Carter appeared on the television show "Dancing with the Stars", and performed in the Broadway musical "Seussical" and the off-Broadway production of "The Fantasticks". In 2014, he released the single "Ooh Wee" featuring rapper Pat SoLo. This was followed by the single "Fool's Gold" in 2016, and an EP titled "Love" in 2017. His fifth studio album, also titled "Love", was released in 2018. A sixth album, "Blacklisted", was released posthumously in 2022, two days after his accidental drug-related death.
