Two years after this release, the band released a 2 song sampler through 187 Records in 2006 and toured extensively in the East Coast and Midwest. The band later signed with Sumerian Records and released “Survivalist” on January 20, 2009, which would gain a small yet loyal cult following amongst underground deathcore fans. The band toured with many well established acts in deathcore and metalcore, including Despised Icon, After The Burial, All Shall Perish, Emmure, Bury Your Dead, and Veil of Maya. ABACABB would disband only a year after releasing their debut record.
Rumors of ABACABB returning in 2022 surfaced after their Spotify biography changed to say to "look for upcoming shows", however the band was still inactive. In July 2024, the band would partner with Been There, Scene That and Secret Swarm Records to release a compilation album containing every song released pre-Survivalist on limited edition CDs, cassettes, and vinyl.
