Alex & Sierra is an indie-pop duo who won the third and final season of the musical reality show "The X Factor USA" in 2013. They performed for the first time singing a version of "Toxic" (Britney Spears) and the performance was highly praised by the judges, being approved for the second phase, where they sang "You're the One that I Want" (John Travolta & Olivia) and went straight to the Lives Shows. In the live shows they sang several songs, they were well praised by the judges who said that Alex & Sierra managed to leave their mark on the songs, making their own version.
With some presentations they managed to do very well in iTunes USA: Best Song Ever (One Direction), Say My Name (Destiny's Child) and Little Talks (Of Monsters and Men) made it to the Top 30 in iTunes USA and the presentations of Say Something (A Great Big World) and Gravity (Sara Bareilles) guaranteed the couple the coveted #1 on iTunes USA.
Shortly after winning the X Factor, Alex & Sierra signed to Columbia Records and in January 2014 started writing songs for their first album. In May, the couple's first single "Scarecrow" came out.
In October 2014 they released the first album "It's About Us", which has the success "Little Do You Know". In August 2016 they released the EP "As Seen on TV", with 8 tracks, containing covers of songs they sang on The X Factor, and some new ones.
In 2017 the couple announced that they had ended the relationship more than a year ago and would not continue making music together, starting their solo career.
