Drummer, Ian Vogan joined the band in 2011, and allowed for more electric expansion from the duo's initial Welch/Rawlings-esque acoustic sound. Now a four-piece with the addition of bassist Leland Plumridge in 2013, Bees In A Bottle's sound is increasingly diverse, and ranges from a solitary guitar and voice, to full arrangements of acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and drums, with a focus on vocal melodies and intimate lyrics.
Quiet Room, the band’s full-length debut, was released halfway through 2013. It was self-produced by the band while still a trio, and recorded at Morningstar Studios with Grammy award-winning producer/engineer, Glenn Barratt.
The band is currently touring in support of their debut release, Quiet Room.
