One year ago, Nat and Andrea Beedle had just gotten married, packed up their lives in a van, and started driving to Portland, Oregon. They knew that the songs they carried with them needed a bigger sound than just the two of them. So, after arriving, they recruited friends Jesse Emery to play bass, and Eric Robison to play drums, and Bird and Rocket started playing at venues around the city just a few weeks later.
They create a dynamic sound that juxtaposes delicate vocals with powerful guitar, haunting melodies with soaring choruses, and simple yet thick instrumentation.
After months of doing their own recording in basements and bedrooms, the band released their first EP, 'And The Wind' in July 2010. 'And The Wind' consists of six ethereal indie rock songs that create the perfect soundtrack to the lush green Northwest. Singer Andrea Beedle's voice weaves entrancing stories of lost love, misty sea voyages, and looming storms that will echo in your mind long after you hear them.
