1. Black Velvet Band its a Polish folk rock/metal band. Formed in 2008 in Lublin in South-East Poland, they made their debut with a single "Pieśń Kruka" (The Song of the Raven) in 2011. One year later they released a 3 song EP titled "Black Velvet Band”, which received very warm reception from the fans. In December 2013 their first full-length album was released, called "Pieśni Obłąkane” (Mad Songs), containing 11 songs.

Currently band is working on their second full-length album.

2. Black Velvet Band is a German band named after the famous Irish Folk song, and that describes them well: They have been playing Irish Folk since the end of the eighties throughout Germany and they do it as fresh and lively as can be. Fast jigs and reels as well as popular Irish folk songs performed with great skill and passion will always tempt the audience to dance and sing along.
At the moment, there are three members: Peter Wendel, Christian Hartung and Udo Hafner.
