Captain Vs. Crew is a four pronged attack. With elbows out and sticks flying, Shawna Ervin-Gore hammers away, trying to keep all the little furry creatures down in their holes. She also plays drums. Tim Ervin-Gore (related only by marriage) takes care of vocal and guitar noise duties like a lunatic with fists of steak. Rob Jones is a guitar accent madman, plucking away with disorder in mind, attacking the verdant hills and valleys of bass player Brunson Moody’s roller coaster rock and roll odyssey. Stylistically, Captain Vs. Crew slip around genres, greasing the joints between influences with garage urgency and a happy-go-lucky sense of direction. Lyrically, Captain Vs. Crew barrel down the alleys of absurdity, yet regain composure long enough to visit a serious topic now and again.
Captain vs. Crew have been playing around the Northwest for the last 3 years, sharing bills with the likes of The Poster Children, The Mercury Birds, Electro-Group, Kind of Like Spitting, Karate, Elf Power, the Gossip and so many more.
