1. Cascades was a modern metal/rock band from Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Originally named Theoretical Downfall, the band released an EP and an album in 2009 and 2010 respectively - the latter of which was made available as a free download. The name change comes at the same time as the band welcomes new vocalist Rashid Alami to the band, ready to add his vocal style to the bands already impressive cannon.
2. Cascades was a post-hardcore band from Lexington, Kentucky, United States. In May of 2010, a group of six guys from Lexington, Kentucky, set out to leave a mark on their local music scene. The sextet named themselves ‘Cascades’ and after a few lineup changes, realized their musical direction, drawing stylistic influence from post-hardcore bands of the last decade, and adding their own experimental flair. Thanks to their dedication playing shows around Lexington, Cascades developed a modest following around central Kentucky. This hard work led to the opportunity of performing at the 2011 Ichthus Music Festival located in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Upon the arrival of 2012, the members of Cascades began taking steps toward their first official release. After two months of planning the group took a five day trip to the hip town of Goshen, Indiana, to record their first extended play release. Upon completion of the recording process, the band worked with producers Cameron Mizell and Jake Garland (ex-Broadway and Memphis May Fire) of Chango Studios for the mixing, mastering, and production. This five song EP titled Faceless People in Faraway Places was released on July 17th, 2012.
