David Lane is a singer-songwriter from Sydney, Australia. For the last six years he has been playing shows locally and beyond, including travelling in 2002 with Australian band The Church throughout Europe and the United States.
Sometimes David plays with a band. Some of the people who have helped David out live include Jackie Orszaczky, Angus Diggs, Leonardo’s Bride’s Abby Dobson and Dean Manning, The Cruel Sea’s Jim Elliot and Ken Gormley and Love Me’s Richard Boxhall.

Sometimes David does his own solo shows, having also supported The Whitlams, Tony Joe White, Don Walker and the Church.
In 1997 David Lane released an independent album called Compass, which has now been re-released. Justin Stanley, who also produced Leonardo’s Bride gold record Angel Blood and Nika Costa’s latest record, produced Compass.
David’s second album is Put Me In a Taxi, produced by Jackie Orszaczky and released through Vitamin Records in July 2002. The album includes the radio hit ‘Goodbye Rollercoaster’.
David's third album is called Eleven Reasons to Sing and was released in May 2003.
Sometimes you can catch David Lane sing and/or playing piano on other artists’ records, including The Church, Jimmy Little, The Whitlams, Jenny Morris, The Hummingbirds and Cleopatra Wong.
Sometimes David Lane just hangs around and is lazy.
