From DJ Invisiboy's official site, www.djinvisiboy.com:
If I’m known for anything, it’s creating raging dance parties out of thin air. From my very first gig (Holocene, 2005) when furniture had to moved out of the room mid set to create more room for dancing, or the infamous house party that left a broken back porch, front windows, and a table in its wake, (the host was still all smiles despite this – I swear,) I’ve always been able to get a crowd moving.
Part of this is due to track selection and knowing how to push faders around, but I think it really comes from being someone who has always loved to dance, and loves to dance while DJing. When the crowd sees me moving, it makes them more free to move, and we spend the night giving each other more and more freedom to have fun and go crazy.
I’ve had a residency at The Fez (Shut Up and Dance w/ DJ Gregarious) and have DJ’d pretty much everywhere you’d expect awesome young people to be going crazy (Tube, Holocene, Doug Fir, Berbati’s Pan, etc…)
In 2008, I took a hiatus from DJing to concentrate on a huge, year long art project that I got a grant for. Recently I realized that I needed to get back to having fun and making kids lose their minds, so I’ve spent the past few months writing new material (for live, girl talk-style mixes,) changing my equipment up, and getting ready to bring back DJ Invisiboy in a BIG way in 2011.
Email me for booking or just to say “hi.”
Have a good night!
Abe
