Gnod formed in 2007 as an improv collective based in Manchester. To date Gnod have chalked up over 20 releases including 'Science & Industry' (NotNotFun), 'Chaudelande (Tamed Records/ Rocket Recordings), 'Ingnodwetrust' and 'Gnod Dropout with White Hills II' (Rocket Recordings).
Having gained a cult following on the live scene in grimy venues & dark club spaces all over Europe with their head spinning, mind bending, bowel shaking live shows, the band also started their own tape label (Tesla Tapes) and co-founded an experimental electronic clubnight (Gesamtkunstwerk).
In 2014 the band were invited to create an original audio visual piece for Cork Film Festival, based on Alejandro Jodorowsky's infamous failed attempt to make Dune in the mid 1970's, entitled 'Gnodorowsky'.
In Spring 2015 GNOD released Infinity Machines through Rocket Recordings. They have continued working with the Rocket Recordings label with just say no to the psycho right-wing capitalist fascist industrial death machine in 2017 and then chapel perilous in 2018. A prolific band, they have twice released their live performances at the Roadburn festival, through the Roadburn Records label.
Gnod have also collaborated with a number of bands including White Hills and Bong. They also joined forces with Radar Men from the Moon for the Temple of BBV project for a self-titled album released through Rocket Recordings in 2017.
