Holy Moly is a high-energy four piece cowpunk band from Fort Worth, Texas. They have independently recorded and released three albums, winning “Album of the Year” in the 2009 Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards. They have toured the US and Europe opening for Bowling for Soup, Junior Brown, Flickerstick, and Unknown Hinson, and they regularly sell out headlining club shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Shows are bombastic, goofy, and full of energy. Holy Moly’s unique instrumentation of twin acoustic guitars, thundering upright bass, and driving drums combine with storytelling lyrics about zombies, one legged adulterers, and all the alcohol and drugs a healthy young person can handle. Fans of old country can dance right next to punk kids in Misfits tee shirts at a Holy Moly show, and everyone has a good time.
Holy Moly recently won "Best Live Band" and "Best Bassist" in the 2011 Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards. Their fourth album, "Grasshopper Cowpunk," will be released in October 2011.
