Before her work as Madeline, in 2010, from her hometown of Portland, she was apart of an indie synth-pop band known as Fringe Class, disbanded in 2022. Later moving to Los Angeles in 2019, now performing under the name MADiE, debuting her single "Dreams" in October 2019. She'd release her debut full-length LP "Forget This" in February 2020.
On January 7, 2021, her second single "Lost In Heaven" was released. A whole year later, she'd return in February with her third single "One More Day", while also changing her stage name to Madeline Goldstein. Her songs would start to gain traction in December 2022, following her fourth single "Seed of Doubt" which has achieved over 1 million streams on Spotify.
In August 2024, Madeline's second full-length LP was announced following its lead single "1996 Expectations". The second lead single "Apogee" was released on July 18, 2025; its third lead single "My Own Design" was released on October 10, 2025. The LP was originally set for a release in fall 2025, but it has been moved to 2026. Despite this, Madeline has performed a few unreleased songs while on tour, one that stands out is called 'Dream 2 Die'.
