These lyrics from “Frontier Reaper”, exemplify the flavor of ManRock’s music:
Bring me the 10 gauge
Gather them like cattle in the square
Bring me the 10 gauge
Crack one off and watch the pink flesh tear
ManRock’s album was engineered, mixed and produced by Rian Lewis of the Portland band Crosstide, and mastered by another Portland heavyweight, Kris Crummet at Interlace Studio. It was released on December 21, 2009 and is available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody and Emusic.
ManRock was formed in early 2008 by longtime friends Casey Mulvihill, Brett Kulper, and Mark McInnis. They added Ben Wand later that year and Sam Boggess joined in early 2009. The band has been performing regularly since January 2009 to enthusiastic audiences in the Portland area. They have since headlined Ash Street Saloon and Satyricon.
The band’s goals for 2010 include promoting their album and building a following throughout the northwest by performing throughout Oregon and Washington.
