Marching Mind had its humble beginnings way back in 2005 when Chris and Jeremy met and began writing songs with another band. However, due to an unfortunate course of events they disbanded, went their separate ways and resigned to the fact that all hope was lost. These were dark times. I think I'm gonna cry... But wait! Years later while Chris had sworn off playing guitar and was embarking on his career as a bass playing hippie...he received a phone call from a creatively unfulfilled Jeremy suggesting we "try jamming again". From that first jam, the undeniable musical chemistry between Chris and Jer was apparent and Marching Mind was reborn. Eventually, when they had about an album's worth of songs...they stumbled upon an amazing bass player (Will) in a band called Ready Rabbit, who added his own creativity and energy to the songs. The only thing that was missing was the backbone, the drums. That all changed when Will brought Seb in for an "audition". It wasn't much of an audition, since he just seemed to fit in perfectly, understood immediately what they were trying to do and showed an unprecedented amount of enthusiasm. The result is an energetic mix of all their influences over the years...from 70's progressive rock like Rush, Yes and Genesis to modern rock influences throughout the early '90's and beyond. Hopefully some of you like it...but most importantly we're doing exactly what we want now and having fun doing it...that's all that matters.
