Nick's love affair with music started at the tender age of 4 when he became enchanted by the sounds of the musical "Peter and the Wolf". This led to a long and sometimes tumultuous relationship, studying various forms of classical instruments and music. His first visit to London as a fresh faced 17 year old, and an epic set by John Digweed cemented his love for electronic music.
He began to write. Emerging onto the scene as a purely live act, Mids performed his own compositions on a laptop and sampler, manipulating the sound with an fx unit and controllers. After a handful of shows and a South West tour in Australia he moved to London in July 2007 and in August was invited to play in the Beats Bubble at Bloom Festival alongside heavyweights like Pendulum, Baobinga and Sinden. He took to DJing late in 2008 and played his debut a month later.
2008 also saw Mids join forces with two other like minded lads and form Dim Sum. He also started playing as a live/DJ act with Jaymin Doe as Salon Kitty.
In 2009 Mids had a set played on Jay Cunning's KISS FM show, as well as completing several remixes and original productions, collaborations and was commissioned to write a track for a short film made in Australia.
The trend will continue this year with many projects under way and plenty of parties to get the punters moving.
