Raised in a joyless Plymouth Brethren home in Canada, a guy with the same name as a famous film director writes a chronicle of what it meant to grow beyond this morass of self-deluded neo-Pharisee soul poison.
Having been raised a fundamentalist Christian who was not allowed to watch TV, listen to rock music or go to the movies, he has in his adult life a keener-than-usual appetite for old TV shows and movies and making rock music with his friends. Having been kicked out of his church for just such pursuits (along with poor attendance and writing a parody of one of their beloved pamphlets) and officially branded a "wicked person" by the elders, Mike Moore wreaks havoc in small ways, encouraging feeling, thinking and doing in general, instead of the alternative sitting, waiting and trying not to do anything wrong ever.
He shares his words, music, and photography on his official website, http://wikkidwebsite.mine.nu/.
Mike Moore also records with mostly session players under the name The Wikkid People.
