Portland native rapper Milc, colloquially known as Leche or Blanco, has a story to tell. He doesn’t shy away from the nuances, the specificities, the details that push against the boundaries set down by those who would speak for his city. Growing up in Northeast Portland, Ben “Milc” Johnson came of age when rap was really starting to break into the music conversation. While still in high school, Milc partnered with Devin “Brill” Boss to form Load B, an alcohol-fueled no-f*cks-given type group that would use shock value to, ultimately, alienate themselves from the Portland hip-hop scene. However, that experience would set Milc down a path to be 100% Blanco today, spitting bar after bar of jaw-dropping lyrics. Now signed to Good Talk Records and affiliated with Smoke DZA's The Smoker's Club, Milc's career trajectory trail blazes a path for the talented, yet understated Portland hip-hop scene to receive its deserved recognition.
