Millionaires is an Asian-American electronic music duo currently consisting of Melissa Marie Green and Meredith Hurley. Formed in August 2007, the group originally consisted of Green and her sister Allison Green, with Dani Artaud (currently known as Snowblood) joining shortly after. The group is widely known for mixing explicit lyrics with a heavy electropop backing, as well as being one of the first acts to become "internet famous" (a term that was the predecessor to the modern day "influencer"), gaining huge notoriety and popularity during the "Myspace era" within the initial emergence of social media. They generated strong controversy during their early years, mainly for being visually and lyrically provocative. The band released three EPs, several singles — including "Stay the Night", which managed to chart for a short time in the UK, and their debut album, Tonight, released in March 2013. In March 2016 they released a single with producer Wade Martin titled "When I'm Single". Much of their music style was ground-breaking in forming the crunkcore genre. They have also been mentioned as one of the major influences behind the 2020 re-emergence of the hyperpop microgenre. Melissa Marie Green and Allison Green are also known for their brief stint in reality television, being cast as replacements in the fifteenth season of Oxygen's Bad Girls Club, which consisted of a cast entirely made up of sisters.
In 2010, Artaud confirmed that she had left the group. Millionaires continued as a duo until August 2022, when Melissa Marie announced that she would be continuing Millionaires as a solo project after Allison's departure. In July 2023, Meredith Hurley and Anissa Zermeno were added to the lineup. As of October 2024, Zermeno is no longer listed as a member on official Millionaires social media accounts and has seemingly left the group.
