In 2000, MusicfestNW (MFNW) was a mere dream. The idea: Portland needed a music festival to match the towering aspirations of a city that was becoming a global player. Today, Portland is one of the most exciting cities on the planet and MusicfestNW, a 6 day festival attended by over 34,000 people has become the third largest indoor music festival in the United States and now includes 4 nights of outdoor shows in “Portland’s Living Room” Pioneer Courthouse Square. Time magazine dubbed MusicfestNW “one of 50 Authentic American Experiences”.
