Nasum was a grindcore band from Örebro, Sweden.
Guitarist Anders Jakobson and drummer Rickard Alriksson formed the band in late 1992 as a side project to the death metal band Necrony. Two weeks before the first Nasum recording, they added another guitarist (Mieszko Talarczyk), and later bassist Jon Lindqvist with second guitarist Urban Skytt.

Nasum is considered the band that revived grindcore from its stagnant period with its debut release Inhale / Exhale, giving a kick to the genre’s pioneers, Napalm Death, who later acknowledged the band’s influence on the return to grindcore’s roots.
The band disbanded after Mieszko Talarczyk died in the tsunami disaster on December 26, 2004. Anders Jakobson has stated that Nasum will never reunite.
The band has released 4 albums:
Inhale / Exhale (1998)
Human 2.0 (2000)
Helvete (2003)
Shift (2004)
