Formed just after graduating high school in the summer of 2012, these youthful sludge-rockers united to form an intricate mix of music with punk, pop, and rock elements backed by classic and country influences.
Through choir and theater activities, Jack Stringer and Hank Smith joined forces in a Portland high school setting and decided to put their minds together to form Rambush. After moving around to Los Angeles and Ashland, Jack and Hank finally made their way back to the 503. It wasn’t until then, Jack was introduced to Joseph Furness at Portland State who 'fit like a glove' and quickly chimed in completing their trifecta of heavy-fuzz sound. Throughout their four years of playing, it was the first time the band found a road paved out in front of them.
While the three-piece has previously been inclined to their punk and metal roots, they’re not reserved to just that. Throughout the writing process, they find themselves heavily focused on the melodies first, and each one of them is just as likely to put their own spin on the songs. As stated by the members, their writing style comes together through a riff or melody, but still leave room for everyone to add their own bits, interwind styles, and mesh personalities.
