NOW IT ALMOST SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE
Robotboy was born in 2002 when I made my first compilation of songs,
but I had been writing some kind of music since 1996.
The first time I felt that I really had created something personal was when
I recorded Nuclear Romantics, a song that ended up on Friendly People
Making Noise, the first release from the brilliant Friendly Noise collective.
The nicest words about that song included comparisons with early Magnetic
Fields and Blümchen. It even got played on Swedish national radio.
Another early highlight was the only Robotboy concert ever performed by
me and Hanna Fahl at a kind of charity event for the Benno record store.
We played with Jens Lekman who at that time still was performing as
Rocky Dennis. It will be a good story to tell the grandchildren!
Since then it has been an on and off habit to record a lot of songs, erase
the most embarrasing, keep some, and try to release the few that I think
deserve it. Since I never believed in making money from the music I will try
to make some of it available here instead. Enjoy it if you want.
