... Our story goes like this... Our former lead vocalist, Steve Mitchell had parted ways with the band to pursue other musical interests. This was soon to be followed by our long-time bassist, and founding member Jon Podzyhun; losing his passion for music. Mike "Fresh" Zancai joined the band as the new bassist at the end of March 2007. After touring in the USA in the late spring of 2010, it became apparent that life on the road wasn't all that it cracked up to be. This would prove to be yet again a pivotal turning point in the band's evolution as another original founding member Mitch Sousa and Mike Zancai decided to part ways to form their own band.
With all these major changes, Rosedale gathered all their combined energy and set out with one goal; to make things right again. The band were motivated to take everything to the next level by revamping their show, sound, and songs. Rosedale has transformed into the largest sounding two piece band ever. With their diverse up-beat epic sound, wide range of dynamics, and seamless multitasking on stage, audiences from all over the North American continent are talking about the two Rosedale musicians doing it all on their own. With just frontman, Mike Liorti and drummer Emerson Tavares; Rosedale has taken performing, writing, and music in a complete new direction.
Combined with their diverse approach to music, Rosedale draws many musical influences ranging from Blink 182, Boys Like Girls, The Ataris, Coldplay, Taking Back Sunday, The Starting Line, The Postal Service, 311, RHCP, Underoath, and hometown favourites; Moneen.
