They joined up with drummer Marcus Delano to record their debut full length "Frequent Flyer"--produced and engineered by Atlanta's Tim Delany, formerly of the bands 'Kopernik'(Eastern Development Records),and The Sight Seers (Sony/Shotput Records). The Soft Targets have just wrapped up sessions for their second album--again with Delany on board--to be titled "Heavy Rainbow". The new album, according to Corry, comes from "A deeper realization of the special parts, the magic aspects, that we hinted at on the first disc, but with stronger confidence,a new certainty, in those things. "I think that the themes, the feelings you get from these tunes are just more immediate and direct. It's been thrilling for me to hear these songs. They're saying exactly what I hoped they would. The energy, the layers, the clarity that we have been searching for are emerging now." Another new development for the 'Targets was the addition of Drummer/Singer Steven Gillespie (Also of Tallahassee group,The Ums) who provides some gorgeous harmonies, and a drumming style that suits the Soft Targets sound perfectly.
