Jacovia was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. His father was a local blues musician and sat with 3 year Jacovia at his Rhodes piano. He spent his childhood singing harmonies with the Buffalo Boys Choir, traveling throughout the world and performing in the most prestigious institutions before the age of 8. Jacovia played, flute, sax, keys, and sang lead for The St. Joe's Lab Band. In his teens, Jacovia worked with Amhearst Records before relocating to Los Angeles.
Seracy was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. A natural performer, Seracy would take any opportunity to dance and sing. After her parents divorced, she spent her childhood traveling between her parents. Her father relocated continually throughout various small towns and the country and her mom would move from one suburb to another.
She was always singing. She began writing poetry at 13.
Seracy relocated to Los Angeles when she was 15.
Shortly after, the two met up at a frat party, wrote a song, fell in love, and the rest is history.
