Although there was no solid band line-up, Simon gathered friends for guest vocalists. Full time member Alison Gann [Ex Felo-de-se], along with Nick Blewitt [Ex Felo-de-Se]. Ex-Children on Stun men Neil Ash and Kyle Whipp. Another temporary member joined the line up, Gez Donnelly former guitarist from the band the Godfathers. 2000 The debut album finally comes out, titled TIRED & BIZARRE. Its a eclectic mix of tracks with a radical departure of styles and sounds. - Tried and Bizarre is released - CDLP - M&A Music Art. 2001 Snails Rave CDSingle - M&A Musicart. 2002 Simon M starts recording the second SPARES album asking Alison Gann to become the bands full time vocalist and together they start working with ex Stun man Neil Ash this time as producer [trailertrASH]. Although around 6 tracks were unfinished demos the sessions were shelved due to personal/musical difficulties between artist and producer. 2003 Kyle Whipp joins the band as a premanent member. Recording sessions were started for the album 'DOWNLOAD'. The album is a collection of demos and out takes from the aborted TrailertrASH sessions, together with demos from later sessions. The album coincides with the bands debut performance at the Whitby Goth Festival. Spares finish the year with a Camden concert. Simon establishes own record label - Black Planet. Download - CDLP - BlackPlanet 0001. 2004 Most of the year is spent recording the third album "SUFFERING FOOLS GLADLY". The album contains live favourites,SUGAR PRINTZ and HOUR GLASS. Again released through 'Black Planet' and distributed by Resurrection throughout Europe. The Album receives great reviews. Suffering Fools Gladly - Blackplanet 0002 2005 Kyle Whipp leaves the Band. Alex Ash joins Band. 2006 Alex leaves Band. Gareth Angel joins Band. SPARES start work on their fourth album "HALF LIGHT ZONE".Performed two shows at the Whitby Goth Festival. A limited edition cd of 'Half Light Zone' is released with alternatte tracks to coincide with the festival and sells out. SPARES sign a contract with a U.K independent record label SIGNET RECORDS. HALF LIGHT ZONE Officially released in November 2006 and is avaliable via AMAZON.CO.UK and PLAY.COM and RESURRECTION RECORDS 2007 NEW LINE UP Jamie, [bass player from Libitina] joins SPARES as a new full time member. Throughout the year the band has played gigs across the U.K. The band spends the rest of the year writing new tracks for their forthcomming release 2008 New Line-up - Steve joins band on keyboard.
