(1) Strawberry Girls is an instrumental trio from Salinas, CA, featuring Zachary Garren (Ex-Dance Gavin Dance) on guitar, Ben Rosett on drums, and Ian Jennings on bass.
The project began as a duo in April 2011 when Ben Rosett (drums) and Zachary Garren (guitar) decided to attempt writing music together for fun. It worked so well that they decided to keep writing and eventually performed together. Immediately after their first performance, Ian Jennings (bass) excitedly approached the two of them and shouted, "I wanna be a Strawberry Girl!" The Girls then proceeded to look into his heart. Upon seeing that it was pure, they agreed to grant his wish. While recording their first EP, a fellow commoner by the name of Caleb Ellison (keyboard) offered up his Moog Voyager as a sacrifice to the Girls' cause. Moved by Caleb's offering, the Girls allowed him to enter into their cult and was quickly placed in charge of filling gaps with his analog butter. After releasing Italian Ghosts, Strawberry Girls became a trio as their synth player, Caleb Ellison, left the band to focus on his academic career.
Their debut album, "Italian Ghosts", was recorded & mixed by Ben Rosett at his home studio, "The Grime Lab". After mixing, the album was then mastered by Ian Jennings at his home studio.
(1) Strawberry Girls is a seven-member Japanese idol group formed on September 5, 2021.
They made their stage debut on October 2, 2021 @TSUTAYA O-Crest.
