an exercise in music like a brick in the face. Early gigs were performed improvised and were a bewildering barrage of stream of consciousness guitar, mutant keyboards, screams and walls and walls of feedback. Members have changed, the sound has been caged, but the heart remains.

The Black Flash.
Ruthless in plundering the history of rock and roll. Razorblade guitars wielded by a zombie Ramones churn out a single claustrophobic riff while primal drums pursue the singer pursuing someone else through dark back streets and rain. Relentless post-punk bass fight proto-punk chant-off. Naked dance rhythms and sinister white riffs. Squalls of noise, shards of notes, thunderous builds.
When songs are at 100 miles per hour, red lights are ignored. When songs are at 200 miles per hour, there is no pause for breath. The drums havent stopped and wont. The guitars will play until it is over. The headlights are off and its midnight. The second the song collapses is the second you fear it might never end. The Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, At The Drive-In, Explosions In The Sky, Death From Above 1979.
The Black Flash.
A blunt lyric without a hint of irony. One leads into the other: oh my god I cant find love develops naturally into a crushing realisation that oh my god I cant cheat death. Moving Targets. Voodoo.
The Black Flash. A dank caf. Busted neon.
Three in the morning. It might be almost empty, but people aren't showing your their eyes any more.
Fade to white.
