They recorded a demo which was later released as their initial 7" with Hex Records (Syracuse, NY). Soon after, they released their first full length, Grim Harvest, on California label Indecision Records. This recording featured new bass player, Joe Helsing. Ryan departed for college and Jeffrey Poso was brought on board as his replacement.
After their first national tour was cut short by Joe's departure, the band took time to regroup with current bass player, Jerad Shealey. Shortly after a second national tour they began working on what what would become their second full-length record and second release on Hex Records. "Home" was recorded in June of 2009 by Chris Common (These Arms Are Snakes) and released in November of that same year.
The Helm is currently active and continues to tour and write new material.
