Like a surreal Summer nightmare...
THE LIMIT CLUB slowly drifts into your subconsciousness and haunts your every
thought. The sharp stabbing guitar and throbbing, thumping bass sound is at once
abnormal and completely familiar - As though the soundtrack to your cloudy midnight
hallucinations has been presented openly for your eyes and ears to absorb by this
mysterious third party.
Taking influence from a diverse range of artists including The Damned, Captain
Beefheart, Morrissey, T-Rex, the Quakes, Johnny Cash, Ricky Nelson, Klaus Nomi and
the Sisters of Mercy, Nick Feratu began crafting a collection of original tunes in 2004.
He and Cadaverous Joel began combining the elements of these different genres to
form a brand new sound. DarkWave, Goth and DeathRock mixed with Neo-Rockabilly
create The Limit Club's signature resonant sound. It is the varied set of influences and
unnatural musical enthusiasm that ignites the engine behind the band and constantly
pushes them onward.
The band formed by the handsome duo of Nick Feratu and Cadaverous Joel in June of
2005 after their previous garage rock music project "The Non-Dairy Creamers"
imploded. This new band would have a slightly more professional approach to the
music and performance, while keeping the frenzied danger and the
"Anything-can-happen" element which helped to make the live shows so compelling.
Nick and Joel recruited The George for drum duty and the original lineup was complete.
Consistent live performances, endless streams of new songs and an explosive stage
presence helped spread the word and propelled the band with rocket speed to the top
of the Arizona Psychobilly pack in record time. Before they knew where they had
landed, the band found themselves performing with some of the biggest names in the
Rock and Roll Underground - Zombie Ghost Train, The Koffin Kats, The 7 Shot
Screamers, Mad Sin, Frenzy and Blitzkid among others.
THE LIMIT CLUB went into the studio to record their first full length album in November
of 2006. The album, titled "God Damn The Limit Club" features 13 original tracks was
independently released in June of 2007.
Soon after the recording of "God Damn The Limit Club", The George announced his
departure from LimitClubLand. One Mr. Juan Carlos seized the position and gave the
band a new lease on life injecting an energy the band had never seen before and
introducing his ability to switch from a New Wave dance beat to a balls-out punk rhythm
at the drop of a hat! After a few months of sitting down on the job, Juan Carlos decided
to join the rest of the band up front and took to playing drums standing up (thanks in
part to the influence of Paul Roman).
In 2008, The Limit Club recorded studio album number two entitled "Phantom Cats".
The album is ten tracks and features their versions of "The Shadow of Love" and
"Alice". The album was recorded and engineered by Nasty D @ Fuck City Studios (God
Damn The Limit Club) and mixed and mastered by John Kowaleski @ Rebirth Studios
(The Koffin Kats - Drunk In The Daylight). In early 2009, Cadaverous Joel was relieved
of his duty in The Limit Club so that he may focus his attention on raising a family.
Nicholas David, the versatile new bassist was brought in to fill the gap.
Now as always, The Limit Club forges ahead. They can't stop and they won't stop.
Spreading their infectious, dance-able Psycho-Gothic sound to the unsuspecting
masses until death brings them down with blazing fury.
