The 3 Amigos are a 3 man hip hop crew made up of producer Naive, and 2 MCs L.Lyricist & Bva. The group are dented records newest additions and have been working together and performing all over the UK for around 4 years. They hold some of the best production in the UK fused with some of the realest, tightest lyrics around, bringing you a raw and original hip hop sound. This is appropriately described by their extended group's name of Real Life Drama.
The Amigos have supported the likes of Rahzel, Sugar Hill Gang, DJ Cash Money, Foreign Beggars, Sway Dasafo, Skinny Man, Klashnekoff, Terra Firma, Harry Love, Verb T, Million Dan, Louis Slipperz (Hosted By Leaf Dog), Kashmere, Lewis Parker, DJ Excalibah, Plus One, Doc Brown, The Disablists, Cutmaster Swift, DJ Semtex, Blak Twang, Kyza and Killa Kella. As well as practically everyone in drum n bass scene.
They have also appeared Live on Bristol’s BS1 Radio station and have featured on a track (Surreal Knowledge – Here Come the British produced by Mr. Dick) rated 4 stars in Hip Hop Connection by DJ 279, with L.Lyricist’s lyrics being quoted and praised in the review. They have also been described as "one the Best groups he's heard" by Suspect Packages’ DJ Disorda, who has regularly been playing tracks by the group themselves and numerous other tracks produced by Naive.
With Naive originally hailing from Brighton, L.Lyricist from East London and Glastonbury, and Bva from Glastonbury, the group have been making hip hop together since 2004, being introduced at a early 3 amigos party supporting Terra Firma in Bath, where L.Lyricist and Bva were performing. L.Lyricist was originally Glastonbury’s most highly rated MC on the drum n bass scene before switching to hip hop when he and Bva started writing together. They were soon given gigs by Mr Alex Black at Baths biggest Hip Hop night - Beatpimps, this is where Naive saw them playing and got them to feature on his tracks, this is how the 3 amigos were formed!
The crew have a track list as long as anyone’s arm, having brought out their album ‘the Lost but Not Forgotten’ themselves on their label RLD records in 2005 with much underground success and also collaborating with several artists from all over the scene.
Their latest album World War 3 is featuring SADAT X of BRAND NUBIAN is being brought out in collaboration with Dented Records on CD and Mp3, having already been highly acclaimed!
