There are at least 3 bands with the name Unicorn. 1. Named after the Transformer, Unicron was a progressive metalcore/deathcore band from Victoria, British Columbia. The band was formed by Courtney LaPlante (Vocals/Keys) and her brother Jackson LaPlante (Guitar) in 2008. There are at least 3 bands with the name Unicorn. 1. Named after the Transformer, Unicron was a progressive metalcore/deathcore band from Victoria, British Columbia. The band was formed by Courtney LaPlante (Vocals/Keys) and her brother Jackson LaPlante (Guitar) in 2008. Through local performances, Courtney would meet Mike Stringer, who was part of the local act Fall in Archaea. The singer made a mental note, in case Stringer ever became available to jam. After the demise of Fall in Archaea, the two recruited Stringer to play for Unicron, who were impressed with Stringer's ability. The band has cited influences from acts such as Protest the Hero, A Textbook Tragedy, and Between the Buried and Me. The band would release two EPs, Odds Lane in 2009 and Powerbomb in 2010, and multiple singles. Unfortunately, the band would split in 2012. Following the break-up Courtney and Mike would join the Mathcore band iwrestledabearonce and then form Spiritbox. "We are Unicron, and we are here to break people. ...and then make them happy for a little bit... and then break people again, even harder." A pretty unknown alias used by Jon Gooch early in his career, best known today as Spor. He only released 2 tracks under this alias, Orion's Five and You Must Believe but also the very well known remix recognized as Unknown Error - Shadows (Unicron Remix). 3.Duo from Delaware into harsh noise and hip hop.
