Wet Mango is the side project of Cristina Irene Fuentes (La Coneja Mala from Sonic Death Rabbit), based in Los Angeles, CA. According to Fuentes, "Wet Mango is my long desired solo side project. I love making music with Derrick in SONIC DEATH RABBIT but sometimes I just wanna make my shit too. The truth is that there are two big things in my life, music and fucking. Well, dogs and roller skating too which I guess I could mix and match with the other two if I wanted to. I'm a sucker for the four to the floor and really wanted to have a project less performance based, more booty. Freestyle, club hip hop, techno, and all other sorts of dance tunes have always influenced me in the melodies I make. I love simplicity perfected as well, which explains the more poppy feel to this project. This is that influence coming straight out without being intellectualized. Not brainless either though. Of course, because of my love for experimental electronics it's still on the dirty and heavy side. It's also an outlet for me sexually.
